The dials whirled frantically; spinning relentlessly in a mechanical frenzy.
Held captive within the copper casing, an ancient power thrummed, desperate for release.
“This antique is a particular oddity,” the seller said, watching her young eyes widen as he moved the piece between his skeletal hands “It’s even older than the time it tells, yet, somehow… I think it was made specifically for you.”
