Follow (Your Passion) Friday! A Friday Feeling.

REMINDER: **Follow your Passions!**

I’m currently at a Wedding.

When this post goes live I will be attending a Wedding at a simply gorgeous venue with my camera in tow. That means that, whilst I’m have a day off from my usual job, I’m not having a day off from work. However, this work is different, with this work I’m following a passion; my photography. This is always something that will give me a Friday feeling; even if it doesn’t happen to be a Friday!

I’ve spoken before about how following our passions can lead to a happier life, but I want to reiterate it again as it’s true. More often than not, we end up caught in these cycles of everyday life. We work our 9 – 5 and we lose sight of the things we are truly passionate about. This can get you down, it definitely gets me down. That’s why it’s so important to put ourselves into situations that prompt our passion, because it’s so easy to forget to be passionate about them. By working a Photography Gig, with my company Level Up Photography, I am forced to take the time to truly spend a day dedicated to my passion; it’s fucking great.

If you’re like me and you don’t take the time out to enjoy your passions. You get distracted by everyday life. You want to write, paint, draw, take photographs, but you just don’t have the time. Before you know it, it’s been months since you’ve actually done something. Since you even wrote a sentence or doodled on a pad. If that’s the case, why not force yourself to follow your passion? Join a competition or utilise a Writing Prompt! Attend an event or even just set a personal goal! It’s honestly worth it.

How do you stay focused on your passions? Are you always on top of it? Or are you like me? Finding that you waver and procrastinate for ages? Tell me below! I’d love to hear from you!

  1. Nice. I write everyday, which is definitely my passion. The trouble is I want to try other arts and adventures too! Never enough time. I wish I had started much earlier in life. How wonderful to have that awareness at a younger age – hang onto it and make it happen. 🙂

    1. That’s great to hear. I write most days, but not all. Hopefully I will have a study soon, where I can lock myself away for an hour each day and really sort my writing out.

Remember, it doesn’t matter when you start, just that you start 🙂 It’s great you’re doing it now! Maintain the passion.

  2. Hear hear! It seems I am like you in that my biggest excuse is “I don’t have the time”. But I’ve been told that we always make time for what’s important to us, and that sometimes we just have to get off our lazy butts and force ourselves to follow our passions. Great reminder, Shaun! 🙂

This post was full of good feeling and passion, Shaun. Passion is the key to getting through the good and bad times, doing what we love. A nice post and enjoy your wedding.
